Maphorion

This might be a magic coat – a shiny blue dupion silk in straight silhouette on one side, a special shade of red on a fantastic organic wool on the other side. The silhouette of the wool batist is voluminous, able to move, the pocket hanging from the glass button’s weight. This side has been dyed from the plant Rubia Tinctorum, also called madder. Both sides are fastened with buttons and with string – but each side is only showing one of the two modes. The edge is trimmed with a beige cotton poplin, handstitched with light blue yarn, creating a string of singular events along the lines.
